Outside my window. . . 65, sunny and breezy

I am thinking…  this house has too many surprises

I am thankful for…  a new mop and a strong child

From the learning rooms… Health & Safety Code

I can't believe . . .there hasn’t been much of a summer

From the kitchen . . . no idea at all

I am wearing…  old shorts, flip flops, and sleeveless tee

I am creating . . . a place to meditate

I am going…   to eat something soon

I am reading . . . I really don’t know. Have to Kindle surf

I am hoping…  that the attorney sends the doc’s I requested so something can happen

I am hearing…  Channel 7 News

Around the house. . . . 1 child,1 dog, 1 cat.

One of my favorite things… coldstone creamery

A few plans for the rest of the week
1.  Stop at the market tomorrow
2.  Do laundry
3.  Finish kitchen

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing:

Friday shuffle and a quick memory

I was born to an older dad. He had one previous marriage and had a son who was born a year before my mom. This son, who was a POW in WW2, always treated my brother and I like his little brother and sister. He was married and had 1 child when my folks got married. When my mom was pregnant with me his wife was pregnant with their 2nd child. He is 6 weeks older than I am. My half brother died 3 years after my dad died. His wife had to raise their pre teen son alone as their daughter was married and living on air force bases. From what I can recall, his son loved his Mom.

Then the son got married and as with some families, there was an estrangement. The son stopped seeing his Mom and his wife was not interested in letting her see their kids. So my niece who by this time had settled close to her mom, was the closest family that cared. But their grandmother was said to have put a tidy sum away for each grandchild. Whether or not that is the case, if it is so, I wonder what the son will think.I was chastised by his wife for telling the kids as "they never had a relationship with their grandmother". Still family is family and they lived 6 miles apart and never spoke. Now his Mom is dead. I told his wife via message that I send my sympathy to him, because no matter what else, she was his Mom and she did the best she could. I think personally that his wife wanted him to put her family first in everything, to hell with his.  RIP Mary. I hope the fish are biting in heaven.

Now on to happier times:

Wednesday, wonders why?

I have a younger brother. He's now in his mid 50's. He's married, has a son, a lovely wife, and lives in the midwest. We used to be friends. Now he barely tolerates me and treats me poorly. I do not know why he treats me like this, I've asked his wife and she says she doesn't know. So.

I am on FB. No biggie. I wrote in my FB yesterday about my frustration with one of my Mom's doctors. I think he's in it for the money, doing expensive procedures and not listening to their worries and their symptoms. So I get a text message from my brother telling me not to post this crap on FB. Hmmm.

  1. He is not a friend on FB.
  2. He refused to add me.
  3. I called my Mom and asked her if she was bothered by it.
  4. She was not.
  5. I texted him back and told him she was cool, and I actually had friends who were concerned about people and prayed for them.
  6. No reply.
You have to wonder what has caused his heart to turn so against me? I am here with my Mom. I live 5 minutes from her. I am available to take her places, go to dr's appts, take her to urgent care, follow the ambulance to the ER, make sure she is comfortable, my kids are here to help her. My daughter spends every Sunday night at my Moms. My son takes her places and does things for her. Is my brother jealous? I stayed in the area and have said that I will continue to stay here till things change. Would we like to move out of state to a better job? Yes. Will we? I doubt it.

On to other things. Football playoffs.
I don't like the Broncos, specifically I don't like Tim Tebow. I am reminded of this whenever the camera focuses on young Tim praying:
When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

I think young Tim might have a rough time against Tom Terrific and the Patriots this weekend.
Hopefully the Packers will smack down the Giants and get ready for the league playoffs.

Update on the trigger finger:
No improvement. I have a split to wear. Will see the doctor some day.

Peace. Out.

random musings about nothing

Okay so my maple tree actually dropped a red leaf. Probably because I haven't watered out there in a coons age. At least the place got mowed. That is a good thing.

I'd even share my pills with Dr House if he could diagnose the problem I am having in both arms, like not being able to type with the last 3 fingers on my right hand and the pain I have in my left one. I'd like a diagnostic doctor not a surgeon who knows what to do inside the arm but not talking with patients. buuuuuur.

I love my pooch. The cat is the queen but my dog is my pooch.

Night alligators. It's after 5 so the chopper is up and about looking through the neighborhoods. Almost a comfortable feeling.
