Not much new

Sun still goes up and down.
DOL still stinks.
Waiting on referral approval for pain mgmt.
Waiting on approval for more PT.
Easter went well, service was nice. Dinner was wonderful.
Have a wedding to go to on the 29th.
Have to get health insurance through someone and that's tomorrow's call.
Nothing real exciting to share or vent.
Resistance isn't futile, it just takes some time.

Wow the RESISTANCE works!

The Republicans walked away from the table and Obamacare aka the Affordable Health Act is still intact.
Male committees who again wanted to be the guardians of my body. I don't' need a guardian of my body, I can make my own decisions.
The news about the collusion between the heads of the Republican Parties and Russia frightens me.
North Korea and its saber rattling frightens me. I don't know if they will get lucky and launch one that can make it transpacific. But we have deterrents in place.

All done. Now I have to contact Covered CA and see what I can get that will cover me till I turn 65.

A round of thanks to the USDOL District 13 SFO.

I've been on workers comp for 13 years. On and off working till after the last surgery, where I had a nonindustrial injury of a broken foot as well as my medical restrictions. I was declared permanent and stationary, wouldn't get any better, could get worse.

Sept 2015 I get sent to a quack in Long Beach who declares that I am miraculously cured of all problems and am able to go back to a 40 hour a week job, after vocational rehab. Vocational Rehab consisted of 6 months of 24 hours a week relearning Office Suite, Quick Books, Internet History and some other stuff. After I graduated, I got into the job search. I applied for over 250 jobs. Got nothing. 

Dec. 2016 the DOL announces to me that they have decided to cut my benefits because nothing I have proven to them has shown them that I am still medically infirm. This is after I requested a new physician in July and was not granted the change till November. The doctor that I see is only in on Mondays and his first report came 2 days after the last day I could challenge the ruling. They would not budge. So as of February 5th, I had no health insurance because the amount they calculated was less than the amount I paid for health insurance. I still have health care for my industrial injury. It went from 1600 to 450$ a month. 

Now my quandary is do I file for Social Security or find a lawyer who does SSDI? I do have several issues that have come up over the time that could qualify me for it. I need to find the tv commercial for the lawyer who says they can get it for you.

This has caused me such great depression. I can't afford my rent. 
I have a car payment as well as insurance. With the three of us it's amazing.

Quick Update

Was sick from November till a couple of weeks ago. Still, have that cough. 

Survived the great deluge though we had water coming in the back door. 

Have an update planned but will have to wait another few days.

Proud mama of a marcher in the Women's March in Madison Wisconsin last weekend. 

Filed a request for a congressional inquiry into the delay from DOL/OWCP/SFO in obtaining a new w/c  doctor with Senator Feinstein's office.

Started to respond to POTUS on Twitter. Gonna stop being a silent constituent. Probably won't make a damn bit of difference, but this water needs to be muddied.

Hope yours was happy and safe.
I was in bed at 0000 and would have continued my sleep except for the fireworks being shot off by the neightbors. Sounded like a war. Dogs were scared. I was pissed.
Slept in yesterday.
Slept in today and missed the parade. Saw the hockey game. Watching the Rose Bowl.

Off to the land of neon

31 years ago today I married a boy who turned into a wonderful man. We're going to celebrate our 31st anniversary. Takes a lot of hard work to make a marriage work. It is worth the effort.

I am so tired of coughing.

So when this cold started back in October, at the beginning there was some exudate when I coughed. Now when I cough it's a dry hacking cough and it is nagging. I am taking Tessalon Perles, which does wonders for the cough, but makes me so tired. So I can't take it when I'm going to drive, do something that takes attention, or watch something. Can't read either. 

Had a shot in my hand today. Today he injected it into the tendon. He said it will reduce the inflamation and stop the thumb from hurting. I sure hope so. 

I am not ready for Christmas. This weekend I'm going to do some Amazon shopping. Or go to Toys R Us. Who knows? I am really excited about getting out of town for a couple of days. And then it'll be Christmas and we're all supposed to be happy happy joyjoy. Hasn't hit me yet.
