Merry Christmas 2018

Mom would have been 94 today.

Another 1st in the year of change.
Really sad but what can I do? Celebrate that she did live a good life and she was loved.
Achy and tired but we are going to a company dinner tonight. Had 2 shots in either side of my neck. Had my elbow x-rayed. I have ulnar nerve neuropathy. Seeing a new ortho in Jan.
Peace.

December 1st....

Have been busy .... traveling, getting sick, shopping, all those fun things.

I'll be back with a bit more detailed post soon....but in the meantime this passed us on the road last weekend in Wisconsin....

It's November and things are burning

This is from Space. 

This is an out of control fire, 40 miles from where we live.

We are in no danger, but over 300 homes have been eaten by this monster, 2 deaths for sure. 

This fire was not in the forests, it was primarily in scrub brush which is like tinder. Embers flew through the air to neighborhoods miles away from the actual burn to set fires to homes and neighborhoods.

Up north, the town of Paradise has been obliterated from the face of the earth. 42 people have lost their lives in the face of this fire. 

This is not because of mismanagement of the forests. 

This is because of drought, dried fuel, and the earth's messed up temperatures.  

This summer was the hottest in record.

We've had very little rain. 

Ocean temperatures are warming.

Not another one.....

Woke up this morning to the news of another mass murder. 

This one 48 miles from here. 

People having fun slaughtered by an ex Marine whose PTSD wasn't treated. People who didn't expect to die. People who were innocent. People whose families will never, ever be the same.

Outside my window… 72, partly sunny, and breezy and dry

I am thinking…  I am not fond of the wind

I am thankful for…  exercising my right to vote

I can't believe . . .  the temps we’re having

From the kitchen . . . Cook your own dinner tonight

I am wearing…    orange tank top, jeans and comfy skechers

I am creating…  well I’m not really sure right now

I am going . . .   To sort laundry and do towels

I am reading . . . Outlander: Drums of Autumn and Mere Christianity

I am hoping…  to get some bills paid

I am hearing…  son and girl friend playing with his new toy

Around the house…  1 dogs, 1 cat, son, girl friend

One of my favorite things… marshmallows
